My husband and I ate there for the first time today and we found our new favorite spot! We had a pulled pork sandwich and it was literally the best we ever had! Great looking on the inside, friendly staff. The food was served to us very quickly! Definitely will be coming back!
Kayla CookGreeted and seated promptly. The server, Austin J., was friendly and efficient. He checked backed several times during the meal and offered “to go” refills on our drinks. Hubby started with a bowl of chili. It was good but seemed to be missing something. I thought the chili flavor could be more robust (not more heat). He thought it might need some cheese and or sour cream as an accompaniment. His main entree was fried catfish with Mac & cheese and green beans. The catfish was coated with seasoned cornmeal and fried. Hubby said the texture was a bit mushy and seemed undercooked; however, the flavor was good. The Mac & cheese was homemade and hit the comfort food spot; green beans were just ok. I had the Bacon Ranch Crispy Chicken salad. I subbed the crispy chicken with smoked chicken breast. The chicken was moist and flavorful. It was a large salad of mixed dark leafy greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheddar cheese and real Hickory smoked bacon. The only recommendation would be to use homemade buttermilk ranch dressing instead of bottled. Overall, if we come this way again, we would definitely stop here.
Their food is very good and I especially enjoy the catfish always very tasty very crispy very non smelling fish very clean I love it and they are great people down there. And if you do have a problem with your food if you will let them know they will take care of the situation so if you have a problem don't complain say something about it
Clara BakerThe food was okay. Meat didn't have that good smoked taste you would expect. Mac and cheese was great. Service was very slow, but it was busy. Our server was extremely friendly and charming. The restaurant building was rustic and pleasant, fun atmosphere. Overall it did the job but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
We've been eating here since they opened. The food is always delicious. And the waitstaff are Great! The prices have continued to increase while the portion sizes have decreased. We have been ordering one of their new menu items Country Fried brisket and love it. Today we ordered the same. It came out as 1 large slice. This plate cost 13.99. We inquired with the waitress asking if it changed because it normally has 2 or 3 pieces. We were told that is how it comes now. I'm going to hesitate to come back. Adding breakfast and mimosas are not enough to bring me back to overpay.
Yaya TMain Street is always great, they provide excellent service call a good value, and the food is always great. I have not had to worry about them messing up orders or having a bad experience here. The setup is pretty neat with brick walls, and nice decor. All in all I would highly recommend this place, it's a great local barbecue place that's very consistent and it's always great to support small town places like this that arent those big chain restaurants.
Been traveling 40 miles for over 3 years, from Texas to Durant, OK to eat here or get takeout ribs. Service & food as great as day 1. Wife really likes their slaw & corn on the cob (you get a whole ear of corn) but any veggies I have tried has tasted like they were grown in their garden and picked that morning. I got the 3-meat plate and picked polish sausage, chicken breast and pulled pork. Not a hint of fat on them. I always take home at least 1 rack of ribs (LOVE THEM). Must have BBQ!
Bob RogersI've had Main Street BBQ before but always as takeout. Yesterday my boyfriend and I drove from Denison to Durant to pick up some metal then decided dining in at Main Street BBQ sounded like a good plan.. We were not disappointed ? The atmosphere is great, the staff is fun and the food is always on point... I'd drive from Texas any day to enjoy their greatness?
